Creating Joy
Has the thought of how you may be perceived ever held you back from sharing your authentic creative expression?
I have come to find out that humans are generally way more concerned with the way we are perceived than what is actually true. Most people are not even paying attention to what you are doing. (Sorry if that is a let down.)
Once we release ourselves from our own limiting ideas of the way our creations are received or not, we get out of our way. We allow our energy to flow into whatever avenue we are trying to flow it in to.
In our sacral chakra, svadhisthana, lies the seed of creativity. It is here that the organs of reproduction exist as well as our energetic center of creativity and pleasure.
All centers of our energy are on their own spectrum. Svadhisthana balance happens to range anywhere from overactive sexual desires to deep self-pity, and because the word chakra means ‘wheel’, we are constantly in an exchange of balance within each of these centers.
Through a physical practice of alignment, we can begin to meet ourselves right in the center of each of these spinning wheels. We can be the hub of our own energy while they freely spin around our center.
When the sacral chakra is in balance, we are in our own creative flow and have little desire to be anywhere other than where we are at.
A few affirmations to maintain svadhisthana balance:
I flow with creativity
I feel joy
I feel safe
Emotions flow through me
Sweetness fills me
I respect myself
My body is sacred
I feel free
I feel clear
I honor my expression
While we activate our own energy and get clear on where we want it to exchange, the practice lies in alignment of each of the ‘spinning wheels’ from the bottom up. Please refer to the muladhara breakdown to see where we naturally begin align from.
Creativity opposes fear. Without the proper position for fear in our human nature, there is no room for creativity.
What are you trying to create?
What is holding you back?
