Environmentally Forward

We are living in a time where every small action matters. Every step towards sustainability is a step in the right direction.

When I started Sex Plants Rock and Roll (formerly known as Mountain Wellness) in April of 2020, my goal was to never sacrifice ingredient quality or packaging material for profit margins and to continue to evolve towards the most environmentally conscious packaging.

There are so many resources out there nowadays that make this a possibility and it’s been a complete learning curve sourcing these and learning how to adjust formulas to thrive in the packaging.

Here is a list of a few of our current sustainable efforts that we’re most proud of:

• Shipping filler is both recycled AND re-used

• Shipping boxes are made from recycled materials OR are re-used when possible

• All lip balms, highlighters and more are packaged in recycled cardboard rather than plastic.

• All jars are American-made (saving on freight footprint) and with metal lids to help eliminate plastics

• All labels are non-vinyl and made with a non-plastic coated finish as well as printed on recycled paper.

• Orders are finished with a re-claimed artwork card (or written on sticker backing)

• All oils are organic and fair trade when possible

• Herbal medicinals are 90% wildcrafted and home-grown organically & regeneratively

• Organic materials (including paper towels for production are composted after use)

• All jars and bottles can be re-used at home!

While there are so many amazing steps in sourcing sustainably, I do understand that there are still plenty of changes to be made. I want to thank YOU for being a part of my dream and vision in creating a business that is centered in wellness for all.
