What is the hype about Gua Sha?

Gua sha is an intentional and directional pressure applied to stimulate the lymphatic system, break up fascia and release muscular tension that all cause stagnation in the skin’s appearance.

By aiding the lymph to eliminate waste, you are making way for new cellular growth to occur that may help with increasing circulation and improving skin’s elasticity.

Gua sha originated in ancient China and is traditionally a massage technique that is used all over the body.

The gua sha stones that we carry are designed with a simple shape that is adaptable to any facial structure. Generally speaking, you’ll start at the centerline of your face and apply in an upward and outward motion to freshly oiled skin.

The practice can be done both in the evening and in the morning as an addition to your holistic skincare routine. I prefer to use the Wildflower Sensitive Skin Facial Oil in the morning and the Evening Song Night Cream in the evening. Both formulas are uniquely curated with intentional herbs and organic oils to support the regeneration of your cellular development.
